“No Reason” is a song about being stuck in your head & combines sounds that aren’t often placed together to create a synth-folk feel. Frances recorded an instrumental version of this song at home then spent the next few weeks writing the lyrics as she listened with headphones while walking her dog in Golden Gate Park. "No Reason" Leave me with the trees overhead I want to feel the thunder, I want to see the lightening Thinking back when you said Nothing's certain I walk the same path everyday I keep my eyes open Coyotes on the trail When I really want to lie low Feel the light Tie myself to shadow I got no reason to pick it apart I got no reason to make it so hard I got no reason, like I don’t know how I got no reason, never figured it out Driving with the city lights Wondering why we moved here in the first place Thinking back when you said, Nothing's certain I drive the same path everyday I keep my eyes open, I stay in my lane I try not to obsess About the things I can’t change I got no reason to pick it apart I got no reason to make it so hard I got no reason, like I don’t know how I got no reason, never figured it out
